How much territory can you claim before another player takes you out? Expand your coloured zone, explore the map and outsmart your rivals in this addictive territory-control challenge. Every move gives you a chance to grow, but leaving your safe area comes with a risk. Make smart decisions, protect your trail and see how much of the map you can make your own.
Paper.io 2 is a multiplayer IO game developed by Voodoo where players compete to capture as much territory as possible. You start with a small coloured area and must move outside it to draw a trail. Once you return to your existing territory, the enclosed space becomes yours. The challenge is that your trail remains vulnerable while you're away from safety. Other players can eliminate you by crossing it before you complete your loop. It's a simple idea that quickly turns into a competitive battle of timing, strategy and quick decisions.
The easiest way to build a strong position is to expand gradually. Start by claiming nearby empty spaces instead of making huge loops straight away. Once you have a larger safe area, you can explore further and look for opportunities to take over sections of the map.
Your exposed trail is your biggest weakness. The longer you stay outside your territory, the more opportunities opponents have to attack. Make smaller loops when other players are nearby and always keep an escape route in mind. Returning safely is more important than capturing a massive area in one risky move.
You don't have to focus only on expanding your own zone. Watch for opponents who are drawing long trails away from their territory. If you can cross their exposed line before they return, you can eliminate them and gain an advantage. Just remember that other players are watching for the same opportunity.
You can play using a keyboard or touchscreen, depending on your device.
The controls are easy to pick up, but smooth movement and good timing take practice.
A little patience goes a long way in Paper.io 2. Try to stay close to your existing zone when expanding, especially when opponents are nearby. The edges of the map can also provide useful space to grow because you may have fewer directions to watch.
Avoid following another player's trail too closely, and don't get distracted by chasing every opponent. Sometimes securing a smaller area is a much better move than risking everything for a large capture. As you become more familiar with the map, you'll get better at spotting safe routes and knowing when to attack.
The combination of simple controls and constant competition makes every round interesting. You can spend time carefully building your territory or take a more aggressive approach by targeting other players. Even when you have a large area, you're never completely safe, which keeps the pressure on until the end.
If you enjoy games that test your timing and reflexes, Wave Dash: Geometry Arrow offers another fast-paced challenge. Instead of claiming territory, you'll need to guide your character through tricky paths without hitting obstacles.
For something with a different style of gameplay, Warrior Factory is worth exploring if you enjoy building and action-based challenges. You can also try Pro Painter for a change of pace and a more creative experience.
If you like number-based puzzles, Train 2048 is another option to add to your list. For an entirely different kind of adventure, 92 Nights in the Forest 3D offers a change from the quick territory battles. and if you prefer a casual sports challenge, Bowling King is a fun way to spend a few minutes between games.
